Tones Gangnam was founded by Dr. Jay in the spring of 2019, on the second floor of a quiet building three blocks from Sinnonhyeon Station. The brief was never to grow large. It was to build a place where ten patients a day could be treated as if they were the only one.
The clinic now sees more — but the brief has not changed. Dr. Jay still performs every consultation himself. Every protocol still passes his hand before it reaches yours.
Before any procedure, we map the face. Most consultations end with fewer treatments recommended than the patient expected.
Bone, fat-pad, muscle. The trends pass. The skull does not. We work in the language that lasts.
Dr. Jay performs every injection, every thread, every consultation. Devices may be delegated; judgment is not.
We dose for ten years, not for next week. If a result will collapse later, we don't begin it now.
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Jay graduated from medical school in Seoul in 2008, completing his dermatological residency at one of the country's largest teaching hospitals. He spent six years in clinical practice across Seoul and abroad before opening Tones in 2019.
His clinical interest is in the architecture of the aging face. He lectures regularly on injectable placement to professional audiences in Korea, Singapore and Tokyo, and has authored protocol papers on micro-dosed neurotoxin technique.
Every patient is seen by Dr. Jay at consultation. Ongoing treatments may be performed by our medical team — each clinician personally selected and trained in our protocols.
